BACKWASH INSTRUCTIONS
BACKWASH CYCLE
Your Filter is a Filter, Like any Filter it Needs to be Cleaned & or Replaced
Backwash When Pressure Gauge Reads Between 20-25psi - or If Water Flow from Return Jets are Weaker than Normal,
Steps : Turn Off Filter System & Extend Blue Waste Hose
1.) Move Valve to BACKWASH Turn On Pump Run for 30 Seconds, Turn Off
2.) Move Valve to RINSE- Turn On Pump Run for 5-10 Seconds, Turn Off
3.) Repeat Complete Cycle 5 Times Over. To Ensure Filter Is Clean
4.) Move Handle Back to normal FILTER position. Always Immediately Re-Add _____lbs* Diatomaceous Earth(DE) According to Filter Size of into Skimmer Slowly As The Filter System is Turned Back On and Running.

*D.E. Filter Sizes- 1lb =1 Orange Scoop or 1 Coffee Can

IMPORTANT BACKWASHING DETAILS-
· Performing This Procedure Many Times is Normal Depending on the Quality of Your Pool Water, and Filter, OLDER FILTER = More Backwashing = Takes Longer to Clean Water.
· If the Pool is Not Running, Filter is Not Filtering! Run pool 24/hrs At least Till Clean
· Backwashing Green or Cloudy Pool Several Times a Day is Good for Cleaning the Pool Water
· Backwash after Heavy use, or a Heavy Rain to Lower Water Level
· During the season, Backwash Filter as Needed According PSI and Water Flow
· Water in your Pool Will Not Circulate if Filter is Full
· Heater or Salt System Will Not Operate if Filter is Full
· This Will Solve a Number of Issues you may be Having with Your Pool /Water.
· There is No Such Thing as a Partial Backwash or Adding D.E. at Random!
· When in Doubt – BACKWASH!
